Our country as well as our world is changing in leaps and bounds. A lot of the changes appear to make our lives easier. International trade regulations allow our society to interact and share "the wealth of the earth." Politics have never been simple. We can derive political sophistication from something as pleasurable as Leo Tolstoy's noveL "ANNA KARENINA." However, the consequences of our generosity can make us forget the basic foundation of America was to bring freedom and democracy to people. Our democracy seems to lack a strong middle class which should be the voice of our nation. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

Personally I know we never die spiritually, however I know we die physically. I became tired of banking management. Grandma, one that she is, always wanted to invest in a funeral home. I have a university degree but decided ,"oh well", let's give this a try. Mistake one, I had never seen a corpse of any kind, I recalled this after I was enrolled in school and landed a great apartment in the Bay area, connected to the funeral home of course. | Mistake 2, I am a perfectionist and insisted on spending as much as necessary to make my clients look their absolute best. I am a blonde and when I think I sometimes stay very still so many believe I am a live mannequin or snooty model. My family became suspicious when I called to ask how they where. "Why do you ask ?", they would inquire as if I was on the prey like a vulture. Many times I would have to arrive at a hospital to remove a dead one at 2:00, 3:00 or 4:00 am. I arrived showered, dressed impeccably in a suit, looking professional, and it never failed a nurse would ask if I was there to do their hair. More on the dead/live saga... wait till you hear when I almost took a live body thinking she was dead. She was way too still in bed.
